i've been riding bikes since before i can even remember. i was either 3 or 4 when i was first able to ride a two wheeler and it's been part of my life ever since. when i was little i would line up a ramp as far away as i could from curbs and throw myself full speed at it. i bent rims and broke bikes, including my brother's. before i could drive i would head out on my bike and just keep on riding until i was near dead on the other side of town, and then keep on pedaling. it was kinda my way of finding freedom.
i guess that's why i really love biking, that sense of freedom. i heard someone get asked recently when they feel most alive. i thought about it, but it's obvious. getting on the pedals and riding fast is the best feeling in the world.
i did have my most scary experience ever while biking; getting hit by a car. it's kinda hard to describe what happened without hand gestures and the like, but it wasn't my fault. i had a sprained shoulder but i was fine and my bike was fine too. you shoulda seen her car though. i felt bad for her but she did hit me with a car and deserved the ticket she got when the cops came. it's all kind of a funny story. i was a little shaken up of course, but that'll never stop me from loving biking. plus, i was able to write an essay based on my crash and the need for better bicycle safety and awareness.
i own 4 bikes, and have spent way too much money on them. i love it though and hope to ride until my legs fall off.
these are some of my old bmxin pictures.

this is my baby.
